Can Somebody In, From, Or Been To Milwaukee Plzzzzzz Help Me, My College Is In A Segregated City!?
Im going to attending the UW-Milwaukee and am so freaking out right now. Okay im black and have like all white friends because the black people say im whitewashed because i dress in preppy clothes like hollister and AE, but im scared to go to this school

There will be other black guys like you hon! You’re not the only prep black guy who’s going to college! Where did you get the idea that Milwaukee was segregated? News to me! I’m from north of there.

More African-Americans live in Milwaukee than any other city in the state, and more African-Americans attend UWM than any other university in the state (yes, that includes that larger Wisconsin university 75 miles west of here). I work at UWM and believe it is a welcoming place–the best of any organization I have worked for over the decades.
